Elegant antique French sterling silver flatware set, a 3pc entremet or luncheon sized place setting for TWO (with serving spoon and extra teaspoon) with crossed ribbon pattern, PUIFORCAT knives, crown topped armorial or heraldry style lion rampant engraved crests and all in wonderful condition! With all of this quarantine and uncertainty going on, we thought spoiling ourselves in our solitude might be warranted. A gorgeous set here, medium luncheon sized pieces, heavy and sure to impress! The forks & spoon bear the post-1838 French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks, the tiny number "1" within the marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). Silversmith marks on the forks & spoons are for Louis Bessiere, Paris circa 1901-1912 and the mark on the knife blade for Maison PUIFORCAT, (EP for Emile Puiforcat), one of the most reputable French silversmiths and maker to royalty.
