Superb antique Victorian or Napoleon III era 16" tall roll-front smoker's cabinet, cigar presenter box with unique Neo-Gothic styling, five sliding cigar trays to hold a total of 35 cigars, accoutrement drawer & all in wonderful condition! I'd say it sort of has a Gothic feel to it, with the shaped upper portion of the box but the roll-front is something we don't see that often where these smoker's chests or cabinets are concerned. The front rolls up into the top and back of the box revealing the five cigar trays and a small drawer in the top. Just in from Europe, a gorgeous and rare piece!
If you look closely at the pictures you'll see an age/drying split to the rear left corner of the lid. The roll-front works fine but you sort of have to be forceful a bit to get to the drawer, not sure if that was intentional. We've had only one similar piece in the past 30+ years and it was in far less pristine condition as this one. Original lock & hardware but missing the key. See picture for all measurements.
