A nice large 19th c. Black Forest cigar cabinet, would have had 4 trays initially (bottom one is missing) but as you see it, it holds 36 cigars, 12 on each tray. I just this moment realize that the 2 top trays are turned upside down in the photos (sorry). They are each carved in recess like the lowest one (which is missing the little wooden knob). A pari of birds up top, very nicely carved. The cabinet is just in from France, isn't perfect but is lovely in display or use. I'll turn those trays around and click one more image with tray measurements on them. Again, sorry.
Very good condition for age and type. There would have been 4 original trays, but 1 has gone missing and another is missing the little knob. They are not broken nor warped, would be serviceable and that extra space beneath can hold tamp and cutters. The lid is hinged and swings up and back to serve. Shelves/trays slide smoothly. The one odd thing is, even though I don't detect any warp, the lid seems not to want to slide into fully closed position. See side images when closed to see the small gap. There is a lock, but no working key at listing. Nicely carved, a great display piece. A front tip or two chipped off, as you can see. Beaks might be slightly blunted but are there, as are feet, etc.. A nice one without being perfect, thus some pricing break. Measurements are noted on the Photos.
