Gorgeous antique French hallmarked sterling silver 10 3/8” or 30oz. coffee or tea pot with elegant Classical or French Empire styling including laurel or palm leaves and acanthus accented spout & handle! A truly beautiful and large piece, perfect to wow your guests at coffee or tea time :). The piece stands a total of 10 3/8” tall with the acorn style acanthus finial and is 7.5” wide from handle to spout, it holds roughly 30 fluid ounces. The French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks on the base, body and lid, the tiny number “1” within those marks means it’s in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for “sterling” silver). The silversmith marks are for Robert Linzeler, Paris circa 1897-1926. The base rim also has a text marking that appears to read "Piault - Linzeler" meaning it was a collaboration between the two prominent silversmiths. A truly magnificent piece, freshly in from France so don’t miss it!
Very good to excellent condition. No dents, dimples, damage or repairs that I can see. Possibly a tiny dimple or two that I my have missed but just look at the pictures, it’s as near perfect as one could hope for. Just polished to a high luster and ready for use.
