Fabulous & rare antique French ODIOT hallmarked sterling silver 12oz creamer or solitaire sized water pitcher with a marvelous Classical or Empire styling including acanthus & bead festooned footed base and bow & ribbon topped medallion with interlaced "CH" or "HC" monogram!  A wonderful piece, most likely originally a cream jug and part of a larger tea & coffee service but the size is large enough that it could easily be a pitcher or carafe for one, solitaire or bachelor's size as they say.  Also, just imagine it filled with orange juice or maple syrup on your opulent breakfast tray.  The uses are really only limited by your imagination.  It bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark in a few places, the tiny number "1" within means it's in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver).  The silversmith marks are, of course, for the House of Odiot, Maison Odiot, founded in 1690 and gained notoriety during the reign of Louis XV and later became purveyors by appointment to King Louis-Philippe and the Royal Family of Orleans.

Very good to excellent condition.  I see no dents, dimples or damage to note.  Some very, very faint surface marks possible, only minor use.  The gold plated 'vermeil' interior in great shape.  See pictures for all measurements and weight.
