Wonderful antique French sterling silver oversized 10oz coffee or chocolate cup & saucer with guilloche style textured decoration and engraved medallions with interlaced "HR"(?) monograms!  Rare to find these larger pieces, the cup holds ten ounces with a bit of room to the rim and the saucer has a large 6 5/8" diameter.  Both with a machined guilloche style decoration, the cup with a scrolling handle complete with small flower accent.  Both pieces bear the post 1838 French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" with those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver).  The silversmith marks are for Philippe Berthier, Paris circa 1841-1851.  A lovely set, spoil yourself!

Very good condition.  There are a few small dents around the base of the cup but, as you can see, both pieces are wonderful given their nearly 200 years.  See pictures for all weights and measurements.
