Elegant antique French .800 (nearly sterling) silver 6pc teaspoon set with ornate interlaced monograms and gold embossed deep green leather travel style box, case or etui! This type of antique French sterling silver travel set is far more than just a collection of teaspoons; it is a meticulously crafted artifact that tells a story of social status, personal hygiene, and the emerging culture of leisure in 19th-century France. The spoons with the older pointed tip bowls, a simplistic pattern with pointed handles and interlaced three-letter monograms that appear to be "TBK" or "FBK". All bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the curved outer shape and tiny number "2" within those marks means they're in .800 silver (at least 80% pure and so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver. The silversmith marks for "Buttner" though I've not found exact dates or other reference as of listing.

Very good to excellent condition, age considered. As you can see, the box is in great shape with both clasps intact and just some light surface scuffs or marks. The spoons are all without flaws to note other than just some signs of their age. See images for all measurements.
