Evenly chosen seed pearls 3 mm in size, slightly larger than most of these, and an elongated rectangular aperture and petit size make this one feel like a tie pin, or a small pin worn by a husband whose beautiful brunette wife is remembered by a plaiting of hair within. Very nicely preserved, cherished more than worn. Victorian era 10k gold, barrel hinge and c-clamp back. I did not do much polishing, so you can take the time to bring it to its highest gold shine - do not dip it in water (the hair inside). There are rouge polish and a q-tip jobs. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, Pearls all look beautiful and I see no dents, just some surface tarnish and perhaps small abrasion which don't show except in these oversized photos. So pretty!
