Rare, fantastic antique Italian or French tooled leather wallet, billfold or paper money case with ornate gilt embossed decoration and two royal or armorial style heraldry medallions! Isn't this gorgeous! Such an elegant piece for what would now be a relatively pedestrian use. Two pieces total, both in overly thick & rigid brown leather. The inner pocket slides out completely and is sized to hold the older Italian or European bills (as shown in the images). One for the collector or, though it's a little large, wouldn't this make a great business card holder!
Very good condition. There are a few visible surface marks to the leather and one tiny reinforced split at the lower canted edge of the outer case. See images for all measurements.
