Delightful antique Napoleon III or Victorian era 13 5/8" tall miniature armoire, a doll sized cabinet and chest of drawers with bamboo style carved wood accenting, door with original beveled mirror and wonderful condition! Sometimes referred to as salesman's samples which, I guess, this one very well could be but we most often find antique doll collectors searching for these fabulous old 'miniatures'. Not too small, this one is just over 13.5" tall and the detail & condition are wonderful. Original beveled glass in the right side door, a crackle style emerald green glass in the left side cabinet. The bamboo style a decorative aesthetic that emerged during the Second Empire period in France (1852–1870) under Emperor Napoleon III. It combines the eclectic opulence of the era with design motifs inspired by East Asia, particularly China and Japan, and the imitation of bamboo in furniture and decor. Lovely, don't miss it!
Very good condition. A few of the drawer pulls don't match so there are surely replacements there. Marks on the top show that there was originally a pediment or crest mounted up there that has, apparently, gone missing over the years. Otherwise, just as the images portray it.
