Just in from France, this is a wonderful (and likely Baccarat or St. Louis, but unsigned) liqueur service set. All original matching set includes the scalloped tray, the decanter and stopper, and 6 + 1 cordial cups, for a service for 6 and a spare, just in case. These sets are French staples for any well-appointed home, and brought out to serve both aperitif before a meal, and liqueur as part of a dessert service. I use them all the time when I entertain, too. So fun, and always a conversation to be had. We change out the ones we use all the time, and the variety is part of the fun.
Very good to excellent for age and type. There are no chips, no hairlines, no anything on any of the cups nor decanter, stopper. The tray is also quite remarkably unscathed. Might have a slight rub to the applied gold enamel, or a very very tiny nip one can only feel with a fingertip run around it. No chips, though. And it reflects light so beautifully. Acid engraved glass. I'm quite sure this is a Baccarat or St. Louis set, though not marked. Both firms did this type of work, late 1800s. I do have also a 2nd decanter that is of the same pattern, but it has a hairline at the top of the handle. If you want it with this set, I'd send it along free with it. Just ask.
