Recently acquired an entire collection of fine early to mid-1800s cigar cases and we’ll list each one separately for sale. Look for them all, though. The entire collection is just fabulous! From hand embroidered ones to one favorite of mine with hand carved antler stag on front, to a splendid old shagreen case, to a host of others that would be wonderful gift ideas along with a tin of Davidoff cigars (or other) for your favorite friends who enjoy one now and then. I’ll be brief in describing each one, but they’ve come to us out of Paris and from the estate of a noted (and titled) collector who chose to remain anonymous. Wish we could disclose.

This one is truly quite elegant and embodies so much of the aesthetic that was the Victorian era in England and the world. Thick, rigid and textured black leather with tight seams around the curved sides.  The inner portion shown/pictured here pushed all the way down in but it can slide outward to accommodate longer cigars.  The rim of the base portion with a thick sterling silver band, also with an interlaced silver monogram centered.  The hallmarks on the rim date the piece to 1862 London and the silversmith marks are likely for Frederick Brasted, registered 1862.  A wonderful piece in near pristine condition.  I’m sure it’s gone to Opera with the upper echelon; to church with family; to gaming nights with the finest of London’s elite.

Very good condition for age and type. Some slight surface scuffing to the sterling collar and there is a 'crease' like dented area to the bottom right front corner of the case. Measurements noted on the photos.
