Elegant antique French hallmarked sterling silver 28oz coffee or tea or pot with beautiful spiral fluted body & lid, scrolling sterling silver handle and acanthus accented spout, lion's paw feet and in wonderful condition! Heavy old French .950 sterling silver, a fabulous investment as well as a wonderful service piece to bring out for your guests' delight. Nothing matches the quality and excellent design, nor the heavy gauge & weight of the old French sterling silver pieces - all made to last centuries in service, they don't dent or damage easily and they remain, now as always, the most coveted silver objects in the world, as an aggregate. The French Minerve or Minerva hallmark on all separate pieces, the tiny number "1" within those marks designates it as having .950 silver content (95% pure silver and higher than the .925 standard for sterling silver). Silversmith marks are visible and legible but I've not been able to find reference to them yet and will add that info if/when found. Exceptional! A true pleasure it will be to own, display and use this beautiful pot!
Very good to excellent condition! Possibly a tiny dimple or two but I see no dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for weight and measurements.
