First, I want to say, I know this fan needs cleaning. The best method, I'm told, is spit on a q-tip. For that reason, I will leave it to the next owner to bring it back beautifully. I don't like the idea of someone else's spit on a fan I buy, and perhaps you don't either. So! A charming hand colored litho leaf of paper, nicely preserved. A country scene that harkens back 100 years earlier to the French Romantic era, and clothing styles, but the fan is definitely not 18th century.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Such delicate work, one wonders how these survive as they do. The bone guards, sticks and spines are still slender and intact. They seem far more fragile than their years prove them to be. Measurements noted on the photos. The group photo at the end of listing shows several and this is the mid-sized one, and older of the 3.
