Elegant antique French hallmarked .800 (nearly sterling) silver 2pc open or master salt set with ornate Louis XV or rococo styling, vermeil interiors and interlaced "ST"(?) monograms! A pair yes but what a lovely pair! All bear the tiny post-1878 French boar's head hallmarks meaning they're in .800 or better solid silver (at least 80% pure so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks on the salts are for V. Boivin, Paris circa 1887. A beautiful pair, don't miss them.
Very good condition. A tiny dimple or two to the silver salts possible and some age tarnish visible in recessed areas. There may have been glass inserts in them originally but who is to say really. See pictures for weight and all measurements.
