Perfect for the most luxurious table setting, this is a full-bottle sized wine cooler, French sterling silver rim (see Minerve #1, guarantee for .950/1000 pure silver) that has a thick 18k gold layer, the process called "vermeil". We have another that is just for a demo-bottle, but this one holds the regular bottle for table service, ice chips in and around it. A deep wheel engraved grapes and grape leaf, vine motif elevates the blown glass tub of the cooler, as you can see. A lovely piece to put to use or display.

Very good to excellent condition throughout. I find no flaws to note. I believe this to be vintage, perhaps barely antique, and the Minerve mark is one used from 1838 forward. Silversmith's punch was not captured by my photographer and the item is already in warehouse. I'll have to pull it and try to capture that other mark for further identification and tying down the dates on it. Sorry. The silver and vermeil remains high gold, beautiful. Measurements also noted on photos: 5.5" high, 5.5" diameter at top (not width with handles) and 3.75" diameter at bottom. Final photo shows it with a large full-size bottle of Prosecco, just waiting to become a Kir Royal.
