Crafted from solid wood with authentic period details, it features a working lock and key mechanism plus interior shelving—ideal for storing jewelry, collectibles, or treasured keepsakes. The hardware, especially the escutcheon, has a sinuous organic design and is similar to Jugendstil (German Art Nouveau) hardware from about 1895–1915. The cabinet remains in excellent condition, preserving its original character and patina to the walnut. Very good to excellent condition. As noted, it has a working lock with long narrow foliate white metal escutcheon and old steel skeleton key. The interior has some age to it, visible in the images, and has two shelves remaining inside. See images for all measurements.
