The yellow pieces are among the most rare of these elaborate beautiful little works of enamelist's art, and only rarely found. This one is in remarkably good condition, a few of the little raised white jewel dotted borders have been lost to time, but no chips on any of the 5 individually worked convex plaques. A heavier cast framework which has a bronze finish to it, a bit to gold patina is also excellent, unbroken. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, as noted, a couple of the tiny white border 'jewel' dots of enamel missing, but none gone on the largest panel up top. Elegant florals, much in the manner of decoration we know were done among the enamelists of Sevres, though the dot border is also done in the enamelists' community of Bresse, France. There is a market stamp on the bottom, as noted. Often they were made for TAHAN, but this one was sold originally from another retailer of fine goods. The old original silk lining remains in place, though shows age, as does that of the bottom. Again, rare in yellow!
