Lovely antique French sterling silver handled 4pc condiment or hors d’oeuvre serving sit with ornate foliate & laurel garland pattern, gilded brass service ends and engraved accenting! The handles all bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the curved outer shape designates them as being in .800 (80% pure) silver so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver. There are tiny silversmith marks they’re mostly illegible and I can’t be certain, possibly “CH”? The serving ends are most likely brass with the remnants of the original gilded finish but there are no markings. A lovely set!
Very good condition, age considered. Possibly a tiny dimple or two to the handles but no notable damage. The only real flaw I see with the brass portions is wear to the gilded finish and some age darkening or tarnish here and there (visible in images). See images for all weights and measurements.
