Oh, this one is in remarkably fine condition inside and out, and it's only with a keen eye, or our greatly enlarged images you'll see a fine tight nice repair at the necks of the beautifully carved game birds up top. I've marked with an 'x' so you can see them, but to the naked eye, and perhaps a fingertip rub of walnut wax, they simply disappear. We do want to always let you know any flaw, however, and that is their single flaw. If we had the original working key, it would help, too, but we're listing without and will check our spare keys at the warehouse to see if we can match a working key. If so, I'll annotate and also raise price a bit. As shown, it is lovely enough to be a much treasured gift.
Very good to excellent condition throughout, for age and type. A nod to the old fine hairline neck repairs mentioned above. The interior is really quite superb. Old silk velvet in a midnight or deep cobalt blue, still retains all the piping and is not stained. Just a bit of dust I missed as I pulled a bit more up with scotch tape. Somehow the photo lights and digital images always show every tiny bit of dust. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
