Rarely do we find silver-plate that we can't pass by but every now and then for sure! Here we have a truly gorgeous 18pc set of antique French hallmarked shellfish or oyster forks with Louis XIV style raised bow & ribbon topped foliate & floral pattern and original fitted storage and/or presentation box! Beautiful! As elegant as French sterling flatware is but, since they're just plate, you're getting the the same opulent styling at a fraction of the price if sterling. All bear French silver-plate hallmarks, silversmith marks also though I've not been able to find reference as of listing. A simply fabulous set, don't miss them!
Very good condition. Some faint surface scuffs, indicative of age and light use but no breaks or damage or repairs to note. The French used relatively thick silver plating and there are no spots on any of these with rub throughs, etc. Nearly pristine. The box is a bit aged with some scuffing here and there but intact and solid and the interior retains its original pale blue silk or satin & velvet fittings & lining.
