Fabulous antique French Napoleon III or Victorian era 7 1/8" tall shadowbox style picture frame with original domed or 'bombe' glass, gilded wire & ribbon accenting and winged angel or cupid top! With the relatively deep convex glass and teal velvet backing, we're guessing this would have been used to display a medal of some sort, military or otherwise, but could also be used to display a fine antique pendant or even a portrait miniature....really whatever. Beautiful really, oval shaping with the ornate gilded bronze wire decoration and the condition couldn't be better!
Very good to excellent condition. I really see no flaws other than a tiny nip or two to the wood oval portion. Tabs on the back so easy placement of whatever you decide to display, hang ring intact. See pictures for all measurements.
