WORKS! An elegant antique Swiss marked 8-day travel, desk or bedside clock with bronze framing & back and a gilt bronze dial set on a faux tortoise shell face, includes adjustment key! An elegant piece, likely dating to the early 1900s but we can't be certain given that there is no maker marking to research. The style and aging to the gilding evident on the back might put it a bit earlier but we'll stick with early 1900s. The key just for adjusting the time, there is a ring for winding and the numeral ring states that it's an eight day movement though we haven't monitored it for actual accuracy or duration per wind. A marvelous desk or bedside table decorative accent.
Very good condition. As you can see, the gilding on the back is mostly gone with the bronze beneath showing through. Some surface 'scuffs' to the glass but no chips or cracks and, as noted, the clock does work (though we've not monitored it for duration or accuracy). There is one screw/bolt missing from the back, bottom right but we have not removed the entire back, just the round portion to photograph the movement. See images for all measurements.
