Just in recently from France, a wonderful French oil painting on canvas, well-stretched on original wood stretcher frame. A landscape composition which draws you into the village. I'd date this painting c.1900-1930, and it's very French Impressionist is stroke and color or palette. Unfortunately, I find no signature. The measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent, I find no flaws notable. It does not appear to have ever been framed, no abrasions around outer perimeter which would suggest frame rubs. Nicely stretched on the old wood stretcher which has center brace. The painting is 18.75" x 15" without any frame, as shown.
