Lovely antique Victorian to early Edwardian era Black Forest hand carved 8 7/8" jewelry, desk or work box with ornate applied vines, flowers & foliage and working lock with key! A beautifully carved decorative box, the top with applied branch style segments front and back framing a grouping of vines, leaves & flowers. The front also with sinuous vines, flowers & foliate. The interior with the original red lid lining but missing any lining in the base portion. Working lock with old steel skeleton key.
Very good condition. Missing to segments of the branch style carved framing on the lid, at each side. As noted, the interior base of the box is missing any original lining. See pictures for measurements.
