Beautiful antique Victorian era Swiss Black Forest hand carved 9" jewelry or desk box, a striking casket with scrolled feet, vines & foliage, rose or floral lid carving and moire lined interior! Extensive carved detail and with a lovely, warm aged patina or finish. It even has a working lock with old skeleton key. Don't miss it!
Very good to excellent condition. Possibly a tiny nip or two but, as you can see, this one is really in wonderfully preserved state. The interior of the lid has the original tan or cream colored moire silk lining, the base portion has been relined with as close to the same shade of moire fabric that we could find but it's not original.
