That rare superb and near-pristine antique carved jewelry casket, a pair of long tailed pheasants up top in a graceful pose. This one has a superb original silk satin interior, the original working lock and attending key in place. Such a beautiful box! Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, the only flaw I've found is a restoration to the tip of the male pheasant's tail, which I've marked with an "X" for your review. Carved legs and delicately carved leaves elevate the casket and the aesthetic. A gem!
