Excellent example of the artistry of 19th century carvers, and bears signature of its carver, this German or Swiss made Black Forest pipe is without damage, has been kept in pristine form and never used (no teeth marks on mouthpiece and no evidence of tobacco stain within. The tiny couple sit together in an Alpine setting. He is missing one hand, and not another chip nor other loss to either figure. Found in France. Beautifully carved, you'll find full measurements on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, the man has lost one tiny hand. I find no other chips, no evidence it's even been used. It's entirely carved of wood and would be a 100 year plus souvenir of someone's travels. Note the carver's signature.
