With the enormous rise in gold prices, I'm prompted to pull out crates of fine antique jewelry and work them up. This type, with the trailing Halley's Comet dangles (c.1835) have always intrigued me and this is the last one I have left. Tests 16k, has a safety pin on chair to be sure you can't lose it - all the more important now. I didn't spend much effort cleaning or polishing these, so that's the gold shine from 20-30 years ago when I purchased it. Time for it to be someone else's treasure. Full measurements noted on photos, and boxes are not included.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, no losses, no dents or damage, could stand to be polished to highest brilliance. The dangle are segmented and were popular in the c.1835 showing of Halley's Comet across the skies, which captured the people's attention and imagination.
