My own beautiful long strand of 7mm pearls with large 18k gold clasp, I'm letting my own collections go. The long strand is 27", 84 pearls in all - well matched and of good quality. It is a necklace you will double for a 2-strand impressive choker. I don't know how to grade the color, but they're just beautiful, an ivory color and high pearlescent shine. Always complimented, the clasp is oversized and begs highlight as you can see in the photos of it wearable with clasp to front and side. Full measurements noted on photos, too. Shown with other of our antique and vintage jewelry, much more to come so visit our shop often while I work through it all.
Very good to excellent for age and type, the pearls are not perfect, though are perfectly matched and whatever natural small flaws they have are not noticeable with the size and length of this beauty. I think when I bought it, I was told it was c.1960s, but I think later, more likely 1980s. There is a hallmark visible, but not identified. The clasp acid-tests 18k. I've enlarged the pearls for your review, and I don't know how they would grade. Based on my various Mikimoto sets bought and sold over time, I'd say AAAA, perhaps. Not as fine as Mikimoto, but a stunning set. Found in France.
