A magnificent and rare c.1830 Louis Philippe era Baccarat crystal liqueur service. The 8 stemware goblets are larger than cordials, suitable for Sautern or brandy, cognac. Each holds about 3 oz rather than 2. The decanters are typical size for French liqueur service (Measurements are noted on the photos) and the entire set is as close to perfect as any we've ever seen. Yes, took me years to put together this set and it is from my own bar. As you can see from the 1830 Baccarat reference catalogue page I've attached, we're certain of the date. I've paid as much as 120 euro per stem in the past. In the group photo you can see them alongside a similar set with 1 decanter and 4 cordial stems (sold separately), the other group showing the set with a gorgeous "bonne nuit" or bedside set with decanter, tray & goblet. The size easily used for bedside water or as a liqueur service set and I think you will, as I have been, be very pleased with this opulent set at your table, desk, or just refracting light in your display of Baccarat crystal. They're very hard to find in sets and these have been displayed on our bar. Hard to part with but we're sure they'll find an appreciative new home.
Excellent condition for age and type. Possibly a tiny nip to rim or base on a few cordials and there is a small visible nip to the flared neck of one decanter. I imagine if you run fingers over all of those diamond points, you might find a very tiny nipped point or two. It's amazing to think these are almost 200 years old and survive in such superb condition. Measurements are all noted in the images.
