Made after the older French Empire frames of the Napoleonic era, appliqué-mounts on the inner mat, easel backs, bow tops and cover glass, this one is a nice large aperture frame which is in great condition and ready to put to use in your family grouping (or mine). We like a varied group of frames, all French, and in that final group you can see how they compliment each other. This one has the original pale green moire silk mat, all of the appliqués, the original cover glass and backing. Your choice of easel back, or flat-back and hanging loop for your wall. Very good to excellent condition, in the French Empire manner but appliqués of the Louis kings. Very pretty, patina is nice, silk is very good, protected as it is with the full cover glass. Ready for your photo or perhaps a large portrait miniature, even. No one has updated, it's just been well-preserved.
