Always charming and perfect compliments for a desktop or side table with your Country French, Cabin, Lodge, or English Country estate decor. These old 19th century hand carved wood works of sculptor's art still delight, as they would have the Grand Tour traveler who likely brought it home from their first trip to see the Black Forest, and alps of Switzerland/Germany. This one is the rare one that has both original undamaged inkwells and also their carved covers.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. Both original pressed glass inkwells are in their carved holders, and have their carved woodland caps, as well. One leaf tip has a chip (note our photos) but for the most part this one is unscathed by time. The bird is wonderful, no chips. It is mounted on a pin, does turn a bit if you wish to reposition it for your view. The set is 9.75" long. All measurements noted on the photos.
