Gorgeous vintage French hallmarked sterling silver & blown glass 4.5" diameter round flower frog, vase or centerpiece, smaller size but still relatively heavy & definitely beautiful! We have a few of these and I'll be getting the others listed in the next week or so surely. Wonderful decorative accents, just add flowers and the display is superb! The sterling band bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within that mark means it's in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark is for most likely for Victor Leneuf, Paris circa 1885-1935 (a rather long time judging from my experience with Parisian silversmiths). The base of the glass insert is marked "Made in England" so a company in one country collaborated or ordered the complimenting part from the other. Lovely, don't miss it!
Very good condition! A tiny dimple or two to the silver band, possibly a tiny nip or two to the glass. There appears to be one small crack and inner thin wall broken. The individual holes are separated inside by a super thin layer of glass and one inner thin wall appears to be broken, does not effect water capacity but what hole would spill water into the adjacent hole. See pictures for measurements.
