Fine & rare antique French Belle Epoque era 5 3/4" tall pocket watch display stand, a tole or cold painted Blackamoor figure with eglomise or reverse painted glass "placard" for the 1889 Exposition Universelle showing the Eiffel Tower! Though most French would say that the Eiffel tower is a blight on the Paris landscape, it has really become one of the most recognizable landmarks and definitely a must see for all tourists. Quite unique here, with the combination of the Blackamoor style figure, pocket watch display purpose and eglomise Eiffel Tower souvenir. Don't miss it!
Very good condition. There is a bit of bubbling to the paint on on the eglomise glass panel, roughly around the "Univ." area to the right of the tower. See pictures for all measurements.
