Delightful antique to vintage Black Forest hand carved wood bookend pair, Anri style figures with musical instruments including mandolin or guitar and accordion with hand painted accenting. We've had this pair for a little while now, displayed on a book shelf in our office and they're just about as charming as can be. Likely Edwardian era to 1940s or so, slightly flawed but wonderful decorative accents just as they are!
Good condition. The most notable flaw is that the mandolin or guitar neck and left arm of that figure are broken off and missing. It appears that there would have been horizontal base extensions that would slide under the books but they've been removed. Possibly a small chip or two. See pictures for all measurements.
