Wonderful antique French 9 3/8" tall picture frame with gilded pressed brass or bronze inter & outer appliqués, unique curved upper shaping and original foliate garland embroidery on silk mat! Somewhat delicate but as attractive as can be and one of two similar frames with embroidered mats that we're adding this week (along with several other fabulous antique picture frames today and in the week to come). Very good condition, age considered. Some age darkening to the mat but no tears or loss to the embroidery. Some wear to the gilding. We had to replace the glass & easel stand on the back, both covered in a beige moire style fabric. See pictures for all measurements.
