Lovely antique Napoleon III or Victorian era gilt gesso & wood 10 1/4" tall picture frame, "lemon gilt" with ornate bow & ribbon finial & floral garland gesso on wire draping from center to sides! Some age damage or loss to this one but still a gorgeous wall hanging picture frame. Virtually dripping gold, it has what appears to be the original gold paper/card mat and the card backing also appears original. A beautiful older piece and just one of several fabulous antique picture frames that we're adding today and in the week to come. Very good condition, materials and age considered. As noted and visible in the images, there is some loss to the gesso along the draped garland and bow/ribbon top. Those are glided gesso affixed to wire and some loss is evident. The gold mat is likely original and I'd keep it but we provided inner measurements if you want to show a slightly larger picture without the mat. See images for all measurements.
