Le Moine? Lemoine? The signature suggests a number of listed artists but gives me not enough to narrow it between several.  The artist's signature and self-dated "1829" and a hand-written attachment to the back which suggests the woman who sat for artist Lemoine or Le Moine became Madame Augustin, was born Xainte ______ Blot. I can find none of these referenced people with a cursory hour of research, but you might continue the search because the drawing is quite magnificent. Reminds me so much of the Jacques-Louis DAVID and INGRES small drawings, intimate portraits in miniatures. Certainly 'in circle of' and within a timeframe. Gorgeous work of art. Full measurements noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent, pencil drawing on paper, artist signed and dated 1829, the woman is the height of fashion of her time, massive mutton-chop sleeves, the hair style. All original, wooden French frame. All with such charm and grace to it. These small works of art are so wonderful for antique Bru and other doll houses, as well. Some slight darkening of the old paper, quite normal - would not keep it out of the exhibition of similar works by DAVID and INGRES I attended at the Grand Palais, Paris some years ago.
