Fabulous and rare green opaline scent bottle, fully shrouded and complete - souvenir view up top of hinged cap. One of several charming early to mid 1800s souvenir items being listed today, back-painted glass (eglomise) views of monuments of Paris, this one being a view of the Vendome, Napoleon's triumphal tower, Paris. Everyone loves this iconic monument of Paris. Surrounded by the most fabulous designers and silver houses of Paris, long has it been a center of commerce. But I digress. Full measurements noted on photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. This c.1840-60s fine green opaline glass and pressed brass souvenir scent bottle, flask, is without a single tiny chip. All bright brass fittings, shrouding and bask panels are free of loss. Lovely condition! No breaks or bends on that hinged cap, and the eblomise view glass is free of chips or cracks. Legs and frame are all in fine order. Charming and rare to find green color in the old French opaline, too, with great souvenir subject.
