Very sturdy, super-sharp, this would be a pair of Palais Royal scissors you'd feel elegant using. I have only the remnants, definitely pulled from an expanded and opulent sewing set and box which began its life in the boutiques of the old Cardinal Richelieu Palace, which we know as the Palais Royal, center of top commerce and society from 17th century forward. The handles of these 2 pieces are French .800/1000 pure silver with an 18k gold thick layer, or "vermeil", and are unmatched in the beauty of the bas relief sculpting. Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Dating c.1840s or earlier, the scissors are sharp and solid and usable. They do not seem fragile, and could be your elegant embroidery scissors. The stiletto (who uses a stiletto?) might be mostly for ambiance since the very tip is blunted - not much but it is not super-sharp. Mark too tiny to capture but are found.
