Such a beautiful old treasure! Dating late 1700s to early 1800s, the barrel is worked in Vernis Martin, favorite decorative style of Marie-Antoinette. The barrel extensions are silver, and it's heavy in the hand. Protected for centuries in its original leather case, both lens are excellent, undamaged, clean and usable. Measurements are noted on photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, as noted above. You'll want to use this one. Solidly made. I didn't try to brighten the silver but feel sure it will brighten perfectly. The sections are firm, not loose. The barrel of hand painted and layered Vernis Martin is compete and without flaws.
