A fine old c.1890-1920s Swiss or German hunt themed cigar box, chest, not a humidor though - this is a hand crafted thick wood box trimmed with real antlers to include handles at each side and carved ends of shed antlers at the key escutcheon, the stag decorative plaque and the end of the largest of the top antlers. Surprisingly, the old working lock still has its original working key. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, all of the antlers remain in place, though one can see an old repair on one to right of top lid and not other. All are still tightly mounted and have a definite "hunt" theme and cabin feel. Found in France.
