A pair of hand carved panels from cabinetry or paneling, now ready to make over into doors for your own cabinets, or frame as art for your walls. These are a pair, long and vertical in orientation and with flanking repeats of the motif. Would be fabulous with moulding around them and just mounted on cabinet fronts, or as doors to a custom cabinet for bathroom. I've always had in mind to build in a recessed wine cabinet with these. Have not yet done so at home. They sell as quickly as we can find them. This pair are recently in from France with a larger shipment.
Very good to excellent, each one of the pair - no chips on the bas relief carving. No cracks nor splits in the old old panels. You can see they had once been the center portion of cabinetry or paneling, and a outer perimeter change in finish would represent frame or moulding. My guesstimate would be earliest 1900s, and they remain in undamaged condition. Full measurements noted on photos.
