Another of the finds from our last trip to Paris, here we have a delightful PAIR of antique French oil paintings on wood panels, each with a unique maritime themed scene with boats and lighthouse, both in the original gilt wood frames, artist signed and identified on the back as Paul Villerreau (sp?) 1881! Small, the frames are 7" x 6" so these could even be used to accent a collection of Bru dolls or larger dollhouse. As charming as can be, don't miss them.
Very good condition. NO notable damage to the paintings that I can see though there is some loss to the beaded gadrooning on the gilt wood frames (see pictures). The ID on the back appears to be written in pen and not original so they were likely identified by a previous owner and noted as such. See pictures for all measurements.
