Lovely antique French c. 1830s Napoleon III era hand painted gouache portrait miniature on card with wood & gilt bronze frame and ID plaque for "Madame de Bousquet nee Roudier"! Isn't this one lovely! I did a quick internet name search but came up empty unfortunately, sure would love to know a bit more about this one. Shown here in mutton leg sleeves and a fur boa, flowers in her hair and alluring. The frame appears to be in walnut with a gilded bronze oval inner frame/fitting and with the ID plaque just below. A hand ring mounted on the back. Whether your interest is in the portrait miniature, or in having art work for your antique doll's house, you're sure to find this one of highest appeal.
Very good condition. The backing was already split when we received it and I did remove the actual painting to scan it (see enlarged photos). No real damage to note otherwise. See pictures for all measurements.
