Tall and heavy, the c.1850-70 (Napoleon III era - 2nd Empire) pair of gilt bronze stands and original blown heavy glass flutes or vases are an example of Napoleonic Revival period that occurred Mid-Victorian era in France. You can see the Caryatid figures and the acanthus fronds gadroon trim - all elements of Napoleon's Empire style. The glass vases are permanently mounted. Full measurements noted on photos.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I find no nips or chips, no flaws on either glass vase, and the bases are heavy and solid bronze, surprisingly balanced and solid at 4" square. The glass might be Baccarat, but I can't be sure. An appealing swirl to the worked glass, ripple-like rim. Very pretty! Those are permanently affixed to the neck of the base. I will mention, over time the gilt finish dulls (I'm talking years) but they're easy to brighten again with a little polish. I've had them for maybe 30 years. Yes, found in France.
