Perfect little landscapes for your antique doll's house, this pair are painted by the same artist and in the Fontainebleau manner. They date Charles X to Napoleon III era, c.1830-70s, and are in frames which might date them even earlier. Superb detail, each is a charming composition and both remain in fine condition, no paint missing on the round plaques upon which they're worked in oil paint. No cover glass necessary nor in place, they are like miniature portraits, true, but done in oil. Note each has 2 figures enjoying nature, and old Roman architectural interest, as well.
