Fabulous antique hand carved wood Swiss Black Forest carver's sculpture plaque with dog or hound, game, crossed rifles and other tools in the 'Fruits of the Hunt" theme we all love from Black Forest pieces. This particular one is a personal favorite and also presents in very fine and working order. Oak leaves, an acorn or 2 and branches, powder horn/pouch, 2 rifles and a game bird, each presided over by the bust of a dog, spaniel at the plaque mount up top. Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Dating it c.1900-1920, possibly earlier, I find a small rub-like bare spot on the tip of the dog's ear, which we left as it was in order for you to see it and review. It will virtually disappear with a touchup. I find no breaks nor damage - you can review from backside, sides and front with our many photos. The barometer and thermometer are each in fine working order. Cabin, lodge, Country French and English Manor decor accent of very high appeal!
