Worked but unused pair of extra large Victorian beadwork panels which were worked to become a tea cozy (based on the shape) but have never been worked up or put to use. That means they're pristine, excellent, supple and perfect to use as you make up a pair of opulent throw pillows. Decorator pillows made up from antique panels are being shown in even the most modern decor now, as people hunger for color and personal touches. Easy to make, these would be just stunning with deep blue silk velvet and some Lucious French passementerie fringe, maybe tassels, too. Full measurement noted on the photos, but the worked area is 18" x 12" - extra large for type. Remember, you're buying 2 large panels.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, unused and entirely made of glass beads, the embroidery ends up looking like needlepoint, but with glass beads as each stitch. The 2 panels are the same, and not a single bead is missing. Worked on linen, there is plenty of it to work with as you sew your pillow tops. I'd kept these thinking I'd make them up. Once made up, these sell up around $1k each in designer's boutiques. Fun to make your own!
